Dell PowerVault MD1200 is an Enclosure for storage. It can connect to a Dell storage or a server equipped with an externally connected SAS controller. The unit has 12 bays for 3.5 "hard drives, 2 SAS 6Gb controllers and two power supplies.

Dell Caddy 3.5 "is required to install hard drives in this system.

Examples of controllers that can be used with this Enclosure: HP P222, HP H222, HP P822, Dell H800, Dell H200e.

An External SAS cable is required to make the connection between the storage or controller.
